What nanoplasty actually is
Nanoplasty works by carrying nano-sized active ingredients — amino acids, hydrolysed keratin, organic acids — directly into the hair shaft, rather than coating the outside of the strand the way older keratin systems do. It's 100% formaldehyde-free: no fumes, no smoke, no scalp-burning chemicals.
That's a meaningful distinction, not a marketing line: traditional keratin smoothing relies on formaldehyde (or formaldehyde-releasing agents) to bond the treatment to the hair. Nanoplasty doesn't need it — the smoothing effect comes from the treatment restructuring bonds within the hair, then sealing with heat.
Floractive is the brand behind Original Nanoplasty — they developed the treatment. At Janos Kiss Hair, we use Floractive's nanoplasty systems exclusively, with a different formula matched to each of our three treatment tiers.

Each tier uses a different nanoplasty formula, matched to the result and duration you're after — not one product applied for more or less time.
Frizz-Free Nanoplasty
Tames frizz without removing your natural curl or wave. Often called hair Botox, though it involves no injections or botulinum toxin: it's a smoothing and conditioning treatment that leaves hair smoother, shinier, and easier to manage. Washes out gradually, returning your hair to its natural state.
Who it's for
If you love your natural curl or wave but hate halo frizz and Sydney humidity puff, this is for you. It's also a good fit if your hair is dry or feels fragile, as it leaves hair softer and more hydrated. If your hair is damaged, we'll assess it first and tell you upfront if it needs a pre-treatment. It's a popular pre-holiday or pre-event option.
Colour compatibility
Can be done the same day as colour, balayage, foils, or Airtouch, with no waiting between them. For foils, balayage or Airtouch, we lighten first and do the nanoplasty after. For permanent, semi- or demi-permanent colour and toner, nanoplasty goes first, and the colour follows, because nanoplasty can alter or fade colour. Repeat any time you need it.

Express Nanoplasty
Light smoothing with soft, natural movement — reduces frizz without flattening your hair's natural pattern.
What changes
Curly hair typically softens to wavy; wavy hair becomes less wavy. Hair dries faster and is noticeably more manageable. It washes out gradually, so we suggest repeating it after 3–4 months.
Who it's for
If you want smoother, more manageable hair with soft, natural movement, this is for you. It suits curly or wavy hair that's frizzy or slow to dry, and it's a good step up if you'd like results to last longer than Frizz-Free. If you'd rather keep your curl exactly as it is, Frizz-Free is the better fit. If your hair is damaged, we'll assess it first and tell you upfront if it needs a pre-treatment.
Colour compatibility

Nanoplasty Luxe
Sleek, straight, easy-drying hair. Our full straightening treatment.
What it looks like
Important: this isn't Japanese straightening or a flat, "plastic" straight look. Your hair moves like naturally straight hair. You can also dial it back for an extremely smooth result without going fully straight.
Who it's for
If you want straight, smooth, easy-drying hair that still moves naturally, this is for you. It's the only tier that fully straightens, and it's our longest-lasting option, at 6 months or more with the recommended home care. If your hair is damaged, we'll assess it first and tell you upfront if it needs a pre-treatment.
Colour compatibility
Colour or toner can be done the same day: nanoplasty goes first, and the colour follows, because nanoplasty can alter or fade colour. Any lightening (foils, balayage or Airtouch) needs at least 2 weeks' separation, so we lighten first and do Nanoplasty Luxe 2 weeks later.

Yes. Our Frizz-Free treatment is what most people mean by hair Botox. The name is borrowed from skin treatments. There are no injections and no botulinum toxin. It's a smoothing and conditioning treatment applied to the hair and kept clear of the scalp. It reduces frizz and leaves hair smoother, shinier and easier to manage, while keeping your natural curl or wave. The results are temporary and wash out gradually, lasting around 6–8 weeks.

Only Nanoplasty Luxe fully straightens — and even then, it's not a Japanese-straightening or flat-iron "plastic" finish. Hair moves the way naturally straight hair moves. Luxe can also be dialled back for an extremely smooth result without going fully straight.

No — it's the same process, so it's the same price. We focus the reapplication on new growth, but the process and cost match your original treatment.

Tell us when you book. Damaged, over-processed or previously chemically treated hair may need a pre-treatment or an additional service first, at an extra cost. We assess this and quote it upfront, before anything begins.

No. Nanoplasty is applied to the hair itself, kept clear of the scalp, so a patch test isn't required the way it would be for a scalp-contact chemical service.

It depends on the tier. Frizz-Free lasts 6–8 weeks, Express up to 4 months, and Luxe 6 months or more when you look after your hair with the recommended sulphate-free home care.

Frizz-Free takes about 75–90 minutes. Express takes about 90–120 minutes or more, depending on your hair density. Nanoplasty Luxe takes about 120–180 minutes or more, depending on your hair density.

There are no restrictions after the treatment: you can wash your hair whenever you like and tie it up straight away. We'll recommend the right sulphate-free home care products for your hair, and using them will help your treatment last longer.

Yes, for all three tiers, but the order matters. For permanent, semi- or demi-permanent colour and toner, nanoplasty goes first and the colour follows the same day, because nanoplasty can alter or fade colour. For foils, balayage or Airtouch, lightening goes first. With Frizz-Free and Express, nanoplasty can follow the same day; with Luxe, allow at least 2 weeks between the lightening and your nanoplasty.

Yes — our nanoplasty treatment is safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. That said, we recommend waiting until after your first trimester, since this is the most vulnerable stage for both mother and baby.
