The studio
Janos Kiss Hair is a boutique colour studio on Military Rd in Cremorne, on Sydney's Lower North Shore — a premier European hairdresser specialising in grey blending, balayage, and Nanoplasty smoothing. Colour services are built on Davines and Alfaparf, two Italian professional haircare lines chosen for their sustainability credentials and quality results, while Nanoplasty is delivered as a Floractive-certified treatment. Clients enjoy refreshments in the chair, including specialty coffee and champagne.
Janos trained at Sassoon in London and Los Angeles, then at Mahogany in London. In Hungary, he learned from two of the country's hairdressing legends: Ferenc Kökény, a three-time Hungarian master champion and coach of the national men's team for 22 years, and László Hajas, who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit and served as founding president of Intercoiffure Hungary. He then spent many years as an Alfaparf educator across Hungary and Australia. That international and Australian experience shows up in the details: Davines and Alfaparf colour and care products, and Mizutani shears for precision cutting.
